Sean -

Thanks for the info.  I'll look at the Lynx.  I'm thinking about
porting some code to use one of my CP290s under FreeBSD, has anyone
already done this? (ie. I don't necessarily need to receive X10
signals).  As for the TW523 have many people actually had success
building the cable and using the tw0 driver?  I guess Gene Stark
must have done it...Is he accepting E-mail etc.?  Does he have any
suggestions on a parallel card?
