Hi there. I have more info on my CDROM errors. Here's what happens with
cdplay: (I've numbered each line to correspond with what is printed
in the /var/log/messages file)

localhost: {1} cdplay cd0
CD>play 1 2
cdplay: Invalid argument	[1]
CD>status
status track minute second frame
21 01 0 0 4
CD>reset
CD>play 1 2
cdplay: Input/output error	[2]
CD>play 1 2
cdplay: Invalid argument	[3]

Here's what appeared in the /var/log/messages file: (date and time
removed for brevity)

[1] /kernel: cd0(aha0:6:0): ILLEGAL REQUEST asc:26,0 Invalid field in parameter list
[2] /kernel: cd0(aha0:6:0): UNIT ATTENTION asc:29,0
[2] /kernel: cd0(aha0:6:0): Power on, reset, or bus device reset occurred
[3] /kernel: cd0(aha0:6:0): ILLEGAL REQUEST asc:26,0 Invalid field in parameter list

xcdplayer gives me something like this when I try to play a track:
ioctl(cdromplaymsftrk): Invalid argument

and the /var/log/messages file produces:
/kernel: cd0(aha0:6:0): ILLEGAL REQUEST asc:26,0 Invalid field in parameter list

Anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on?

Thanks
David Pullara
