I think that the root of the problem is that if you are trying to use
IP's who's in-addr's are served via the draft method, it isn't up to
"your" software to make it work...it's up to everyone you connect to.
FreeBSD 2.1 shipped with the "broken" beta resolver. If you need to
ftp or telnet to any sites running this version, you have to convince
them to upgrade their resolver library and to recompile any statically
linked binaries...IMHO, the draft can only become a standard...or more
accurately...a BCP...when the various OS's out there using the broken
beta's become a couple of versions behind.
