Hello!
Let me tell you the story how I've lost about 80MB:

1. Loaded the latest emacs package from ftp.freeebsd.org
2. Run pkg_add with the option to show the process, but not to implement.
(I set the enviroment variable for the temp directory on another partition)
3. After a while, I decided to interrupt pkg_add with Ctrl-C
4. pkg_add said: "caught signal 2, cleaning up"
Then I waited a little bit, assuming that it is cleaning up all the temporary
files after itself...
Then I Ctrl-Z-suspended it, found that it's still deleting something
(I saw rm... in ps, but didn't pay attention to what it's removing)

then I fg-ed it.
IN a while it finished with the message that it can not delete some directory
(that directory was in my home directory but had root permissions on it)

Then I found that everything in my home-directory is gone except that one
directory and files in it.
(pwd was ~ )

Fortunately, I was doing that as a user and not as root.
(that proofs the use of my habbit to do as much as possible as a user)

So, I hope, the developers can pay attetintion to this bug,
and users can be aware of such a trap.

Best Regards,

IgoR
