If it really is an IDE drive, then matcd0a is *not* the driver and it
should not have detected anything.  The wcd driver is used for IDE
drives.   If the model of you drive is CR562 or CR563 then it is *not*
a IDE drive, but is a proprietary Panasonic interface.

Once you identify what hardware you really have, we can probably solve
any problems that remain.
