This weekend I resolved the conflict that Windows95 had that prevented
me from setting up the Adaptec aha1542CF SCSI host at 0x300, IRQ9.
So now Win95 is happy with the CDROM at the address where FreeBSD
wants to see it during the install.

So I reset the adaptec for that address and did a complete re-install
of FreeBSD 2.1 from the CDROM. All went fine; cd0 was detected and
the install went smoothly.

The strange thing is that now when I boot from the same boot floppy,
the system can't see the CDROM. Even if I try to run
/stand/sysinstall, the cdrom is still not detected.

It seems odd that after a successful install from CDROM using that
boot floppy, that now the same boot floppy can't see the CDROM.

Does anyone have a clue what might be going on here?

Thanks!
