I've attempted reformatting the floppy and using other floppies that
I've formatted, and I get the same results. I've even ftp'ed and
downloaded the *.flp files again, with no additional success.

The messages that I get when trying to read help files, etc. are messages
like: "The slice file is not provided on this particular floppy image."
and "The partition file is not provided on this particular floppy image.",
etc.

Also, when selecting the distribution to install, the result is as
follows:

"No distributions selected. Are you sure you wish to continue?"

Thinking that this is just a software fluke, and that my selection has
been remembered, I proceeded... after the "Please insert the root
floppy in floppy drive unit A and press enter" prompt, the following
message appears:

"You haven't selected any distributions to extract." Then, the
following appears soon afterwards (after file system is created,
etc.), after being instructed to insert the root floppy:

"Can't find a kernel image to link to on the root file system! You're
going to have a hard time getting this system to boot from the hard
disk, I'm afraid!"

Other things: I tried the previous SNAP boot4.flp floppy and had even
worse results: a screen full or panic messages (the same one appears
repeadedly), a menu appears, I'm not able to select any selections,
and the system hangs. The panic message is: "panic: unwire: page not
in pmap".

Thanks in advance for any information that anyone can provide about
any of the above.
