I originally tried by escaping the $ signs so that the command read:
	chpass -p \$1\%thoutuh\$htnhut
but there was still no getting it to work. The password listed BTW is not
a valid password... I actually copied an encrypted password from
/etc/master.password to try and change my account to that password.

Thanks anyway John... If anyone else has an idea on how to fix this
problem please inform me! ;-)
