I am running a FreeBSD 2.1 system and have been having problem with
using "chpass" with the "-p" option to change a users password.

for example:

chpass -p $1$thotuh$htnhut brook

so that it would change my password to what-ever! The output from the
command is:

chpass: rebuilding the database...
chpass: done

but the password isn't being changed!!!

If there is anyone that knows why this is happening... or an easy way to
update the master.password file easily... or especially in Perl.

Many Thanks,
	Brook
