Just to stick in my 2 cents -- I wrote all of the floppy images to 1.2M 
diskettes, and they work fine. I have so far used the same boot floppy to 
start the 2.1R installation on 7 different machines in my network, with 
no problems. You may need to check your disk, or perhaps clean your 
drive.
