I have installed the XFree86 3.1.2D beta on my Dell Lattitude XPi
P120ST notebook computer and, although the release notes for 3.1.2D
claim to support the Cirrus Logic CL-GD7543 chipset (which is what
is in my computer), any attempt to run X throws it into a vertical
synch tizzy that is only fixable with a reboot of the system. This
even happens with "X -probeonly". The OS is FreeBSD-current and
the screen resolution of my computer is 800x600.

Any help or pointers greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
