What do you mean with ``crashing'' -- just `netscape', or the kernel?

If it's just `netscape': I've seen this too (albeit with Netscape 1.2)
when I forgot to install some of the files `netscape' is expecting.
The easiest way to install all of Netscape correctly is to use the
supplied port: "cd /usr/ports/net/netscape2; make install".
