Is there a way to rid my tree of this oooPs??

I belive it was a tar -x goof.. :(

If I was in dos I would use a sector editor.. Is there anything like
this for Unix??
Any ol'way to remove this oooPs would make me happy!
Without re-installing.. Im gonna smoke my CD-drive if I install again.. :)
