Ok, I tried what you suggested with the ethernet cards, but I
can't find a boot floppy with the ix driver for the Intel Ethernet cards.
When I boot from the latest snap floppy, the Intel Ethernet card is
probed on pci??? not on ix0. Kinda seems strange, but it is saying its on
interupt 11, but no driver is loaded for it. I have disabled everything
else from being probed, so there isn't any conflicts with anything else.
ix doesn't even seem to be probed. BTW the card is an Intel
EthernetExpress pro 10, if that means anything to anyone. I got another
machine with an Intel EE pro 100b, and got her to work just snazzy (btw
for the linux vs bsd debate.....my bsd machine runs about 20 to 30% more
efficient than linux on an identical machine:). Anyhow, if anyone can
relate to this problem, or knows why it won't recognise the ix, drop a
line :)
