The FreeBSD 2.1.0 Installation floppy installs the Release, but I get a "MAGIC..." error when it tries to Mount the WD 2.5 GB HD. The FreeBSD 2.2-960501-SNAP Installation floppy will not even load, it starts and this error is receive "ERROR: C:0 H:0 S:0". My System is configured as follows: drive 0: WD 1.6 GB 0 774 MB PRI DOS 1 774 MB FreeBSD drive 1: WD 1.6 GB 0 774 MB PRI DOS 1 774 MB FreeBSD drive 2: WD 2.5 GB 0 709 MB PRI DOS 1 709 MB Extended DOS 2 1024 MB FreeBSD To get my system to reconize the drive I had to set Translation to Extended CHS and Auto Configure in CMOS. With the Above Configuration I can Install FreeBSD 2.1.0 to drive 0 & 1. But, I receive a "MAGIC..." error when the System tries to mount the 1024 MB partition on the WD 2.5 GB HD. I can get FreeBSD 2.2-960501-SNAP to install, only after I disconnect the WD 2.5 GB HD from the system. Scot W. Hetzel
