I have been trying to load bsdi 2.0 unix on to my 486dx2/66, and have tried
getting the boot disk to recognise the atapi cdrom whilst plugged into a
soundblaster 16 IDE interface, and also into the i/o controller interface as
'drive D:'. but to no avail. Downloaded some bsdi update files to create a new
boot disk that is supposed to recognise an IDE cdrom, though it seems to only
mention mitsumi drives, and mine is a Hitachi if that makes any difference.

Boot disk 2 tries to mount mcd0, but can't find it at all. Any clues anyone?
I can be found at jabell@easttorrens.sa.gov.au
Thanks!
John
