sc0 is a console driver emulating some sort of SCO CONSOLE... This is
a little bit like VT100, but only a little bit. 

Try the screen package from the ports collection. It emulates a VT100
screen (and gives the possibility to open up to 10 screens...). Don't
forget to set TERM to "vt100" after invoking screen.

Telnets should not make problems then...
