Let us also not forget the immortal "xboing", which does indeed use the
sound card.

Also, on the serious side, we've got the MBONE utilities for sound (as
well as speak_freely for IPHONE style chatter).

The current FreeBSD installation has "Express, Novice and Custom" as
installation options.  For a couple of years now, I've been toying with
the idea of adding "Silly" - an installation method which would make
liberal use of graphics and sound in the process of installing your
FreeBSD system.  If you made a mistake, it would also insult you
gratuitously for it.
