Is that an reason against TCP/IP?
We used bootp for many years now at our university for exactly that purpose.
Everybode run fine, until this ()§$&//&/(&(/-M$-company decided not to
include bootp in their Wincrap TCP/IP package.
But there is still the possibility to compile and install dhcp (it's free).
