Considering moving from Linux 1.2.13 to FreeBSD. Stepped on
all the usual 'oh, don't you know' landmines but got FreeBSD
2.1 up fairly easily. One problem remain...

The modem on COM1 is not recognized by FreeBSD. It works
great under Linux and under Windows, and is recognized by
the BIOS at power-up. Any ideas on how to get it to work.

The modem is my link to the Internet and is something of a
must. (Yes, I reloaded Linux in order to post this.)

Thanks in advance
