Yup, FreeBSD runs fine on a generic EGA..
Even runs on a 4meg 386SX-25! Albiet slow! But it runs!!
7 hours to compile a kernel! I'll never do that again! Sure glad I got it right the first time!

BTW this system i'm talking about was setup to debug a namserver problem I 'WAS' having.. Thanks to a very 
helpfull person and a barage of late night emails last night the problem was solved.. :)
Yup it was my error in configuration.. I geuss one of these days I'll graduate from the newbe school!
