I guess I should have said "ported to FreeBSD".  The changes have been
submitted to the netatalk maintainers who plan to support FreeBSD in 
future releases.

Note: netatalk runs within kernel space not user space.  Thus, it should
be superior to CAP with respect to performance over  a network.  CAP is
reported to have a few more bells and whistles.
