Some folks responded to my question regarding sendmail choking on hostname, when I'm trying to send mail out through uucp (machine's only connection to the 'net) I figured out (mostly) how to deal with the .mc files, and I was using the uucpproto.mc, and using THAT .cf file as my /etc/sendmail.cf file, but I am still getting 'unrecognized host name' when I mail to person@hostname.com. I have had the lines FEATURE(nodns) and FEATURE(nocanonify) both in, and out, and permutations inbetween, with no change. I even compiled sendmail with the #define for Name Binding turned off. Still no workee. please help!
