Hello,

How do I go about configuring gcc v2.6? It's been installed on a FreeBSD
V2.0 UNIX system running on a Pentium based PC. When I compile a program
it generates a binary executable, however when I try to run it I get the
error:

'Exec format error. Wrong Architecture.'

When I do a 'file' on the executable I get the following:

'setuid PDP-11 pure executable not stripped'

Is 'gcc' generating an executable for a PDP-11?!

How go I configure 'gcc' so it generates a binary for the FreeBSD?

Any help on this would be most appreciated.
