Get a book, you won't be sorry. There is a lot to learn, and although
there is a *ton* of information on line, books are nice. When I asked, not
too long ago, someone recommended "A Students Guide to Unix" by Harley
Hahn. I haven't been sorry that I bought it.  There are no doubt lots of
other equally good books.
