Sun System (available stuff over NFS, at least during transition):

Sun Sparcstation II (64 memory will have to be sent back since 100 ns).
   * US Robotics V.34+/V.everything Courier modem hooked up at 115,200 baud
   * High Speed dual RS/232 and printer card.
   * 19 " color screen with 5 BNC connectors.
** External Exabyte 8500 (5 GB) (8mm) (will use my network backup
	program to start
** two 207 MB 3 1/2 inch disks (internal in Sun)

** quad SCSI 5 1/4" rack mount (not rack mounted) inch box with:
** -- two 1.6 MB full height disks
  ** -- 1 tanberg QIC 1/4 inch SCSI
  ** -- 1 CDrom at original CDrom speed (1x)
(Sun SCSI out cable (mini) goes into large input cable of SCSI QUAD BOX
which ends and termininates the SCSI bus with a cable from the large
OUTPUT cable/connector of the QUAD BOX to the large INPUT cable to the
   INPUT Box
-- I'll probably move the SCSI quad box and contents all at once)

  ** 2 RS/232 A/B boxes and 1 Parallel Printer A/B box.
  ** 35 Microphone

  * IBM 4019 Postscript laser Printer

* reuse on new system immediately -- but I can connect up.
** reuse on new system eventually (during/after recompilation of
      environment, etc)

-- Is the 512 Kbyte cache P6200 out yet. If so, what's the lowest price
   anyone saw?

-- What is the cheapest good single and dual processor for the Pentium Pro
people have seen and from where?

-- What's the lowest memory price people have seen (72 pin, 60 ns), 32 or 64
   MB?

-- how much more should dual processor motherboards cost than uniprocessor?
Yes, I know now BSDI doesn't support dual processors.

-- What are the lowest prices people have seen on each item?

-- Some I don't know well (eg scanners). Which should I get? At what cost.
   What's it like?

-- Any lower prices out there anyone suggests?

-- Which Ultra Wide/Fast SCSI ~4.3 GB 7200 RPM disk do people sugggest and
      at what cost.

-- SCSI controller -- Which SCSI III controller is better:
958 or some Adaptec? (2940UW))? What's the lowest cost seen?

-- Anything to help V.34@115,200 baud or ISDN@512,000 (may be internal
    on bus)?

-- What's the cheapest BSDI compatible ethernet card?

-- I'm wondering if that's the best box configuration. I'd like two half
    height 5 1/4 for the two CD drives, a 3 1/2 " floppy drive (in the box/but
so one can put a CD or floppy into the drive), and at least 2 and possibly
4 internal 3 1/2" disks. What's the LED used for? how is is hooked up?
Which box do people suggest and at what cost?

-- If I wanted the 2 CD drives and/or floppy external, how much would that
    cost (away from the box?

--  Which 3.5 inch disk drive (SCSI-III, ~4.3 GB, 7200 rpm, <= 8.5 ms
seek time) cost around 900, I guess, do you suggest? What cost/where?
