: What is your estimate of the life expenctancy of Microsoft?

My estimate is that they have about five years' worth of life left in
them. Microsoft is operated like one giant chain letter. At some
point, when there is no more market share left to grab, the scheme
will come down like a house of cards. The problem is by that time,
they will have 100 % market share in the desktop, workgroup server and
heaven knows what other markets. A lot of users will be very very unhappy.
