It was senseless because it's not specific enough to make any answer other than "whatever *needs* to be changed, dude!" the right one. You have a simple porting problem, so port it! If, once you've embarked down that road, you have any *specific* questions that cannot be easily answered by referring to the sources to tcpdump, nacctd and (if necessary) parts of FreeBSD itself, then this is a good group to ask. If you just want to know how to port software in general or lack the programming abilities to port UNIX software at all, then I can only recommend a good book. -- - Jordan Hubbard President, FreeBSD Project
