When upgrading from 2.0.1 to 2.1 I left the old slip interface
/usr/sbin/sliplogin alive.
Now I decided it was time to change and that's the moment when
I ran into trouble :-(

slip connects work fine, but when the line is dropped ppp doesn't
die and lets the modem unusable (I'm speaking only for dialin).

My ppp.sys file looks like (for slip):
------------------------------------------------------------
Ssystem:tc=Dialin:sl:im:id#0:so=-debug:
------------------------------------------------------------

addr-map is:
------------------------------------------------------------
Ssystem	1.2.3.4 netmask 255.255.255.0 link2
------------------------------------------------------------

ppp.debug has entries like:
------------------------------------------------------------
/etc/netscripts/Dialin.login Ssystem sl0
writing to routimg socket: No such process
delete host 1.2.3.4: not in table
/etc/netscripts/Dialin.up Ssystem sl0 193.197.11.185 1.2.3.4
cannot intuit interface index and type for 1.2.3.4
------------------------------------------------------------

ppp connects on the same hardware worked (under 2.0.1) and work
(under 2.1) flawlessly.

Any ideas?
