Some of the bitblt operations are about 5 times faster
than SunWorkstation IPX. I did a simple test using xgc
and got .8 seconds on my system and on my SunWorkstation IPX
I got 2.8 seconds.

Glad to hear that you have the server up and running, honest.

The S3 cards are notorious for having different ways to set
the dot clocks. Hopefully, my algorithm should hold for
non-programmable clock synthetizers.

Folks, I have tested the server with Orchid's Farenheit 1280
and Actix's GraphicsEngine.

THERE IS NO diamond stealth SUPPORT!
Please take your card back to the dealer and get one of the above
mentioned cards.

For your near future, make sure that you buy your card from
a dealer which allows you to upgrade the card.

The 928 is coming soon before Christmas, but I wouldn't hold
my breath till I or a developer for a XS3 has certified a
928 card. I bought 3 cards spoke to vga manufactures for
about 1.5 months before I could release my server.

Don't not be concerned about the slow or crawling text performance.
When I get the font cache working it will be blindly fast.
For instance, for those who have the server running text will
be as fast as you can move the windows around in the screen.

Enjoy,
Amancio
