My problem was that when i ran the original installation for FBSD I
didn't include the PEX package. I reinstalled and added that package as
well as most of the other X packages which solved this problem. What X
is looking for is a whole directory of PEX fonts. I think it's called
PEX. If you don't have any such directory in your directory tree then
you need to either reinstall and make sure you include the PEX package,
or get the PEX package and install it manually. I think if you installed
from a cd you can do a post-install addition or something like that.

My new problem now is that it finds the PEX package, then my screen fliks
to black and then it reboots. Does anyone know of anything special I
should include, install or be doing in general? I think it has to do
with either my Stealth 64 Video DRAM vidcard or my MAG1795 17" moniter.

Also, when I run FBSD w/o X my screen ocassionaly starts flickering
between brightness. It isn't the hardware itself because it doesn't
flicker when I run NT, and I defined the horizontal and vertical Hz to
what it said in my moniter's book.

Any help is gratefully received. - billy
