Let's first say that I don't think apps sell computers.  I *do*
think apps sell desktops, but only to an extent.  They are far
from the sole reason someone buys something.  I have lost more
than one consulting job by suggesting the use of 3x5 cards and
a little plastic box.  8-).

That said,

Obviously, you own no Novell stock... WordPerfect is in the
toilet (and dragging an otherwise good company down with it)
precisely because of things like this.

If you associate the suffix ".DOC" with WordPerfect in the
registry, you are pretty much screwed.  8-).
