Subject: RPC errors on NFS mount to HPUX

I was unable to mount a directory from an HPUX 8.0 system to a 386BSD
system. I was getting the following error:

Bad MNT RPC: RPC: Authentication error; why = Invalid client credential

I found that if I reduced the number of groups for root below 6, the
mount started working. Unfortunately I don't have source on the HP
but the bug appears to be on that side. Can anyone else verify this?
