We've had great luck with Emerging Tech's T1 synchronous cards..
http://www.etinc.com/. We're using a Pentium (overkill really, but it's the
only one we can put mass quantities of fast memory in) with 32Mb of memory now
and one of ET's T1 cards. Turn on gated, configure, and off you go!
