BSDI 2.x Boot and Root Floppy, How do I make one?

I've got the install disk going, I can break out of it.

I've also learned how to copy an install disk (format/newfs/dd),
but I want a disk that doesn't immediately try to install things
and I want one with restore on it...

Is there a pre-configured "maintenance" root 'n boot, or do I
have to roll my own.
