I had a 590 in my machine for awhile.  I could not back port the vx driver;
I think I* grabbed the wrong one or something.  Anyway, it sat in the box
for awhile and caused problems with the serial ports.  Then I got the SMC
ether ??? and config'd the de0, compiled and booted.  It works like a 
champ.  Wanna buy a cheap 3c590?
