Thanks to all who replied.  Following are responses I received, looks
like I will have to try to use the current Linux Xenix emulator.
If the program doesn't use IPC or shared libs from Xenix, I may be
ok.

88-open compliant binaries run on Motorola 88K
processors.  Try the Xenix version.

There *is* an "Application Binary Interface" for System V on the [34]86.
I was real disappointed to find out Linux doesn't use it.  Don't know why he 
doesn't either.

Ngo -

   88 Open Compliant applies to Motorola 88000 architectures (like
Data General's AViiON product line.)

   There is a similar standard applicable for '386-based unix
boxs, but 386BSD and Linux do not (as yet) conform to that standard.
