I can't seem to find it in the FAQ.  Yes, I do use the date command and it 
does work... sortof.

You see, if I set the date using the date command (and the CMOS clock is 
set correctly), only the root shells seem to get the right date.  The 
ordinary user's shell dates' are off.

Why is that and is there something I can do to rememdy it?
