I'm using user PPP to dial in to a couple different ISP's. One ISP supports
good old text login prompts, and optionally supports straight PAP logins (i.e.
from Win95 I can connect without doing any scripting). The other ISP requires
PAP or CHAP.

With user PPP I can log in to the first ISP if do a script for the text
logins, but I don't seem to be able to get a PAP login to work; I can't log
in to the second ISP at all. In both case, PPP says "login OK", then "Packet
mode", but it never seems to send the authentication to the ISP. What am I
doing wrong here?

Jim
