Whether or not BSDI wants to "officially" make the change isn't
really an important factor.  Taylor builds right out of the box
and installs rather effortlessly.  If you don't like the uucp that
ships with BSD/OS, it's relatively painless to switch.  I also find
Taylor easier to configure.  Diffrent strokes...

Probably because the advent of relatively cheap dialup IP connections
has made uucp rather irrelevant except for those folks still using 
things like waffle on the remote side of the chatter.
