I think you are allowed to put the source tree of 386BSD 1.0 up for
FTP, but who cares?

I've got it (a gift by Hellmuth Michaelis, who finally ended up with
three of these CD-ROMs :), but have never been tempted to boot the
system.  I've really been disappointed that the JMJr's floppy driver
wasn't included...
