Hi networld,

I tried to install FreeBSD 2.1 from WC CDROM. (Did this before on
dozen systems without any major problems...)

During the installation process the system hangs with the following
error message:

sd0(aha0:0:0) timed out
adapter not taking commands..frozen?!
Debugger ("aha1542") called
AGAIN
aha0: MBO 02 and not 00 (free)
cd0(aha0:6:0) timed out
...

My configuration:

386/40 with 387 ISA BUS
16 MB RAM
Adaptec 1542 CF
IBM DPES 31080 HD (ID 0)
Toshiba XM4101TA CD ROM (ID 6)
Archive Viper 150 (ID 4)

The error does not occur always at the same time, sometimes after
2 minutes sometimes after 15 minutes....:-(

Is there anybody out there who can help me??

Thanks Stephan
