Why use a floppy if you don't have to? For most modern PCs to boot
a CD, you need an updated BIOS that supports the new "EL TORITO"
CD-ROM specification. The newest Phoenix/Ami BIOSes should support
booting a CD. We have an HP NetServer LC at work that can boot a SCSI
CD, which is really cool! (as opposed to just EIDE CDs)
Now if you can talk Jordan Hubbard into making the FreeBSD 2.2 CD
bootable, you'll be set. Actually, I would imagine 2.2 is already
planned to be bootable.
