Summary: Pointers and pitfalls appreciated

Could some kind person please point me to the appropriate FAQs
and/or web sites which might help me as embark on the fun of
porting FTP, CERN, and Harvest to a BSDI machine. I've been told
that all three of these source packages compiled "right out of
the box", as it were, on SunOS. I've also been told that all
three are going to need some tweaking to get them to compile on
BSDI.

Advice and kind words are appreciated via email to me at
kevinc@doink.com

Thanks in advance....
