The export attributes are bundled to the device where the file lives
on.  Despite of being ``the traditional way'', i think there's also a
performance issue: the device where an inode resides is fairly obvious
to examine, the path to that inode not (and there might even be mult-
iple links -- what if their export attributes are contradictionary?)
