I'm running 2.1 on one of their P6-200 boxes (which sell for about 6900 including a 21 inch monitor, pci scsi, Matrox 4mb card, and 10/100 ethernet). This is in a big Sun shop. It kicks *SERIOUS* butt. I compile a software system I am developing in about 2 minutes. It takes 20 times longer on sparcstation 5s and 10 times longer on sparc 20. The only thing not supported by FreeBSD is the ethernet card (3C595). I use the Xaccel server for the Matrox card (and modulo a few problems I am reasonably happy with it.) I have huge AMD maps that work compatibly with the sun automout map setup at this site. The only bummer is that Pure doesn't support FreeBSD. P.S.
