It's a "security feature", Dirk. The pop3 daemon checks whether the ip
number of the pop client host resolves down to the known host name. You
need to make sure that the client host which is calling popper is either in
your /etc/hosts file or exists in the /etc/namedb/named.rev rev file (if
you're using the bind nameserver).
