I have users to my system who are trying to access one of my FreeBSD
boxes from a Livingston Portmaster PM2E-30.

They can RLOGIN to the box OK, but when they try to use such things as
Pine, TIN, etc they are getting a message saying that the programs
cannot operate in 'Dumb Terminal' mode.

How do I go about setting a terminal type of VT100 or ANSI for the
shells ? (primarily CSH and TCSH)

Thanks.
