New snapshots of the upcoming FreeBSD releases can run ELF as well, but
the problem is that Native elf support (not default.. in FreeBSD, a.out
is mostly sufficient) was added at the same time and it is not possible
to tell from the headers a native BSD elf binary and a LINUX elf binary..
you have to use more subtle points and it's not decided yet quite how
to do this.. this is one drawback with the elf format.
