I agree that 10.5 KByte/sec is an impressive speed. The only problem
is that the guys with internal cards (Teles, etc.) will get about
15-15.5 KByte/sec out of that connection.

As far as I understand it, the difference is the way the ISDN line
is used.  Those with an "ISDN Modem" (like you and me) use it as a
super-fast modem line, the guys with an internal card treat it more
like an ethernet connection.

My big question is: What kind of protocol do they use with their
internal cards? I've heard rumors that they use something like
this:
B-channel layer		protocol
1			HDLC
2			transparent
3			transparent

Just a rumor or is it the truth?
